KeepTool Free gives you a no-cost entry into the power of our flagship product Hora, bundling the most important features for everyday database tasks.
Run interactive data queries — either using Query-by-Example or SQL conditions. Export results directly to MS Excel, create reports, or generate INSERT scripts to transfer data between systems.
Organize your ad hoc queries in a structured, hierarchical repository. Use the Query Builder to create SELECT statements interactively, and display the results in a grid view or export them to MS Excel.
KeepTool Free is ideal for occasional users or consultants who only need our tools from time to time. For example, you can use Hora Free for quick data analysis on a client’s system — without having to purchase an additional license.
The SQL Scratchpad helps you manage and organize your SQL statements in a structured, hierarchical repository. You can add multiple SQL root directories to the tree view and easily share them with your project team for seamless collaboration.
Use the integrated query builder to construct SQL queries quickly and accurately. Whether you prefer traditional Oracle join syntax or ANSI standards, the tool adapts to your workflow.
Each node in the tree corresponds to an SQL file. When selected, the file’s contents appear in the right-hand editor pane, allowing you to review, edit, and run your queries without distractions.
Execute SQL statements in batch mode for efficiency or step through them iteratively when precision is required. Query results are displayed in a dockable output window, so you can arrange your workspace just the way you like it.
The Data Content Browser provides an intuitive way to browse, filter, and update table or view data. Simply double-click a table or view in the navigation pane to open it in a new tab and display its data in a grid view.
Switch seamlessly between different display options:
Record view for detailed row-level inspection
Tree view for hierarchical relationships
Pivot view for aggregations and analysis
Chart view for visual insights
For foreign key columns, tooltips automatically display the referenced master record. When editing data, use the ellipsis button in a cell to open a popup that lets you easily pick a reference from the master table.
Refine your results using the filter box above the grid to enter SQL WHERE conditions directly. Alternatively, apply Query-by-Example (QBE) by entering filter values in the cells beneath each column header.
Quickly explore relationships by using the context menu to open a filtered master or detail view in a separate tab, giving you a clear view of data dependencies.
